Exactly, that's the way of life and sport is no different to that. It's not good for the fans who trusted the leadership of the club and who will pay the consequences as it's "your team" that is now struggling after some bad decisions were made. Look at Leeds United, they chased the Champions League dream and are still paying for it now years and many owners later

| Staying pro and not releasing any players? So is the current wage bill under a million then? Or whatever the SL2 cap will be?

Wait, let me check the current wage bill and the Whatever Salary Cap.
Hmm.
It seems that our current wage bill as at June 2014 in SL will not form part of our 2015 season salary cap expenditure. I don't know why, and I'm probably as shocked as you will be at this revelation. But it seems to be true. Apparently, they will only count next year whatever we spend next year.

Actually i saw it as a matter of interest and a way of guaging how much marc green may be chatting out of his a hole. If we were to keep all players, making the assumption they won't want or take a pay cut, then the wage bill at the start is going to be the same as the current bill minus disco and probably kearney... yes? No? And if this wage bill is more than the current cap for SL2 then we are being fed a line?

| If we're in SL2 we will have to keep within the SL2 cap. All assumptions which contradict that are clearly wrong assumptions, so not valid to begin with.

| Oh sorry didn't realise this board belonged to you, and we are only allowed to discuss things you want to talk about.
I'll try again, using my plainest english possible to ensure everyone can understand and discuss if they are interested in what i'm getting at.
How much will the SL2 wage cap be and how does that compare to our current team, what are peoples opinions on who we will have to sell to meet that cap, or would we be able to pretty much run our current team in SL2? I noticed marc greens comment says no redundancies not keep the same squad so are we gonna sell our best players

What Marc actually says is that there will be no redundancies. Players will most certainly leave if/when we are relegated.
For a start, we can only have 1 overseas quota player in SL2. That will reduce our wage bill straight away. I'm also expecting Diskin to retire and also Gale/Ferguson and a few others to move on.

| It wouldn't surprise me if the current spend was less than £1 million.
Take away Kearney, Diskin and Manufakoa and we will have quit a bit to spend.
I'd also expect Ferguson to leave too, but this may be dependent on any other club wanting him.
There is no way that the current squad is even close to the salary cap.
There's no reason why we can't keep the decent young players and use them as the foundation for a future team (apart from the fact they may want to leave!)

| Not sure how many players we have left in our squad with all the loanees coming in and out - but assuming 25 players, and a wage bill of £1m that would average at £40k per player which seems low for a SL outfit, so I would guess our current wage bill is still above the £1m mark, though well below the SL cap. But as several posters have said most of the higher paid ones are likely to move on if we are relegated - if they can persuade potential new clubs they can perform better than they have been doing in the last few matches for the Bulls.

Use Google to search 'Marc Green Bulls appeal' and be enlightened. There are other internet search engines available.

The no redundancies line is a bit of a nothing line really. The Bulls are operating a very small full time back office set up as it is, and as you say players will move on/retire themselves.
Will be interesting to see what the salary cap is for 2015 outside SL. In order to allow teams to ramp up for 2016, and mitigate the parachute payments to level the playing field, it will surely have to increase?

Google isn't a newspaper, shock. BBC Grandstand footage isn't a newspaper, shock. Bulls website isn't a newspaper, shock. FA trolling and being a silly boy, shock not.
