Brian Noble or Jimmy Lowes?'"
Jimmy. Undoubtedly if you look at input to "Northern/Bulls" it's be Nobby, but just on the pitch, Jimmy. You just never knew what you were going to get - sublime . . . . or just down right naughty

| Nobby was a hero of mine but Lowes took it to a different level at hooker. Nobby would get my vote if we had proper scrums but Lowes wins through for his skills.
I'd take Newlove over Hape. Newlove could score from anywhere on the field on his own.

| I think robbie over deacs was really tough as robbie helped us take on that next level whereas deacs helped us continue it. off field robbie was priceless and contributed as much as on pitch. Deacs suffered a lot of criticism for being too selfless and not taking on line so was a team player but you could always see how much he offered when he was not there as we looked lost.
Big joe for me over baloo, anderson was amazing at his peak but we got tons more value for money in terms of injuries and consistency. In defence joe was a monster.
I loved TV from minute he arrived and watched les on his international debut before he had even played for canberra and liked him too but i think TV was my favourite (les was a freak and poss best winger we will ever see) TV one of first to take ball from dummy half on such a regular and destructive way helped provide tons of position for us in the early days - he fought off competition and form slumps, and even ended his contract early to let some of kids have a go and help us replace within salary cap!!
Gartner was good in defence and had a good solid offload but morrison was always just such all action and determination. Glenn may not have retired so soon if he put his body first before the team.
Sprogger was a great full back and solid, withers i always felt was a centre who worked well at full back.
peacock or fielden is prob a good comparison as i see the worrincy one not a comparison.
Never really saw a lot of hanley but henry was one of best natural stand offs i have seen.
Jimmy lowes better than noble as a modern no9 but two different players in different eras.
Hape over bradley but only just

costin for me. did a very good job at stand off and I would have been happy to see him stay on.

.....is probably the right answer, or at least the one I would have given.

Don't recall Hudson Smith apart from the name. Worrincy may be much maligned on here but he did score a few decent tries, some of which were against good sides. That said, he was responsible for quite a few for the other side as well IIRC...

| My main memory of Hudson Smith is him missing a tackle that led directly to the "wide to west" try. I also remember whenever he was named in the side the crowd did the collective groan that Worrincy got several years later.

| Hudson Smith looked to be a very good signing when he made his debut at Saints at the start of the 2000 season. Sadly it went downhill very quickly from them on.

The difficulty with that is that Hudson was poor in a pretty good side whilst Mick was not brilliant in a somewhat poorer, or at least 'misfiring', one. I think a team of basically good players normally bring out the best in the others around them, whilst a side stuffed with somewhat less capable players probably drags others down to their level. On that basis I'm going for The Warrlord as the better player. But putting my tin hat on........

| Worrincy would have been a star in our best sides coming off the bench and scoring tries.
Scott Naylor or Ben Harris........

| Naylor. Despite him getting stick from "know nowt" speccies his defence was superb. How we could've done with a defender of his ability these past 4 years. In attack he was a bit slow but was a handful. I rate him above Harris because his defence was better, which is saying something as Harris was a decent defender too.
