obviously a lot of our fans will love it next weekend, and no doubt i will have a little chuckle myself IF we win, but also as a rl fan i can see it will be good for bradford northern to go down/rebuild and come back stronger, rather than struggle at the bottom...the game needs strong teams from hull/yorkshire/lancashire and good local derbies

It's already over and done with, which game it is mathematically certain has little interest to me to be honest.

The blessing is that we have known for a good few weeks now so I would hope plans for next year and already fairly well advanced.

I wouldn't want to give some of the divvies satisfaction in seeing us wailing and gnashing teeth. So some sort of wry or joyful goodbye to 40 years at the top would be good.

I don't get the joke. On the unlikely off chance that you are being serious...

"40 years" is a length of time. To put it in laymans terms, it is how old you will be in 24 years time.

"At the top" could, if you were being almost incalculably obtuse, mean bradford have won the league for 40 straight years. Or it could mean that is the duration of time that has elapsed since bradford were in the second flight.
