Well dug out.
As for the rest of this thread... well, some people need to get a bit of a grip on themselves.

| Quote: underground "as a 30 year Wakefield fan and a two year sharks fan..
I can confirm Kearney is a better player the Ben Jeffries ... at full back
BJ is a far better half back/ stand off than Kearney
if you play Brett at half or 5/8 you will be devastatingly dissapionted...'"
seeingas kearney has either been injured or played fullback all the last two years Im curious how you come to that conclusion

| Fact the two Manly lads we have sighned are very good honest players.
Fact Kearney if we can keep him fit will promise to be one of the most exiting players we have sighned in a while.
Fact both reardon and sculthorpe both deserve a chance without been lambasted from the word go. If anything Sculthorpe can make the side more dynamic as his offload game is one of the best and his kicking game for a forward is very good.
Fact the retainment of James Donaldson is the best sighning so far. He will go on and become a very good player.
If we as supporters get behind the club rather than being negative Odsal will be better off for it.

Indeed. I don't know how Kearney will get on at stand off but if someone had asked me this time last year what sort of 6 Sykes was it probably wouldn't have been a glowing recommendation! As it turned out, he had some of his best games in a Bulls shirt there.

29955.jpg If I'd have wanted glory I would have followed Man Utd.
Football is a game where men spend 90 minutes pretending to be in pain and Rugby League is a game where men spend 80 minutes pretending not to be in pain.

| I can honestly say that of the signings anounced so far, and I do hope for a couple more, Danny Sculthorpe is not a player who fills me full of expectation for next season. However as a rotational prop he might well do a decent job for us and untill we see how he fits in with the rest of the squad and the way we play next season as a unit I am willing to wait and see.

TOP banana ! !
I'll go along with all of that (except the "fact" bit as pointed out by DILLIGAF. Doh! )
We have what we have. We can't change that, whether we like it or not.
I'm a Bulls supporter and win or loose that's what I'll do (though I reserve the right to moan on occasion )

I think that sums it up very well.

| I couldn't sleep last night with excitement! The Sculthorpe transfer is the best bit of business Wakefield have done this year! Thanks again! Ha ha ha ha!

that pretty much is the way im looking at the signing. The only thing I'd add to that is i dont really expect to see a great deal of sculthorpe unless we're struck with injuries. I still expect to see hall used mainly in props. assuming langley and menzies are both automatic picks that only leaves 1 2nd row spot and a bench spot to share between donaldson, worrincy, whitehead and olbison. I'd expect whitehead and donaldson to both get more gametime this year plus theres talk of the twins moving into first team squad in which case I suspect we'll start filtering them in toward the back end of the year. I see sculthorpe as a signing made primarily for injury cover and not likely to get a game if everyones fit. certainly no need for some the doom and gloom on here in the last day

Think thats right, especially with the way Macca sounded about this one.
