Not according to Roofaldo's link, it would appear that in addition to Chelsea and Bolton - Hull KR are also a member of the scheme. I suppose it doesn't have the same ring of innovative marketing if the Robins got there before us!

I somehow doubt I'll be earning enough points to get a £5 off the home shirt, and what will happen to the away vouchers for junior members. I'm sure it's been thought through, but we'll have to wait and see it in operation.

The worrying comment on the story is "selected high street partners in the Bradford area".

I dont know if I am adding 1 + 1 and coming up with 5, but a friend at work has a Bradford City season ticket which is a "swipe card". Does anyone think this might be a clue that we might be playing at Valley Parade next season where the facilities already exist?

The City season tickets are not swipe cards, they are cards rather than vouchers, but you have to show to the turnstile operators.

A lot of the retailers seem to be internet rather than high street.
I'm ok with that though, iTunes and Play.com are hardly small players.

I had my cynical head on when I read this first thing, but now I've spent a bit of time actually reading what its about I'm slightly interested. Still it looks like you need to spend a mint to get anywhere near a reasonable amount of points to use on merchandise.

I think the simple solution of slashing ticket prices to draw in crowds would have worked better.

Slight drawback with that plan though.

I think the club might be better served slashing ticket prices for specific games as you need to maintain the value of a season ticket. But for home games against teams like quins, cataland and celtic (assuming they're still there) where we get our lowest crowds, what's wrong with offering season ticket holders a "take a mate" voucher? or offering half price tickets until the Friday before the game (again assuming the games will continue to be played Sunday afternoons). That way you've got guaranteed income from those tickets and the likelyhood of more people turning out for those games. More people=more revenue at concession stands.

This will end the practice of selling spare vouchers outside the ground - this happens a lot. People sell them for £5 or £10 for a mate or family member who can't make it and often give away spare kids tickets.

You might lend your card to a trusted person if you can't yourself make the game but it's not as easy as tearing a voucher out of the book is it?

The points won't be easy to accrue. I do use some of the companies listed though and would be likely to use my points to get a discount at least - even if it's only a small one.

I guess all clubs will eventually take this kind of thing up as is happening in football.

My daughter got her renewal letter for this today. I must say, it looks good. Letter personalised with her name throughout too - she was most impressed!

There is also a picture of a Bulls shirt on the back with her name on. I wonder if this is the new design?

It's a nice piece of marketing really. The one thing I notice is that it appears that free entry to AWAY games for juniors is only available if you get your ticket before the early bird deadline - so be aware.

But it looks good, I'm excited about getting one. Can we start collecting points from as soon as we get them I wonder?
