I am pretty sure that lots who have not bought season tickets will be floating off before they do now...

Ok, so 5 or 6 fans rate him as ok. That's cheered us all up.

Yep that's exactly my point.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

I know the point you are making - you are saying we should get behind him. However, all the "getting behind him in the world" is not gonna suddenly stop him being e now is it?

I'm not saying it will. I think it is pretty clear what the overall feeling is regarding this signing though perhaps in varying degrees. I just hope that now though that we do not have a full off season of people bagging him before he's given a shot at the Bulls. At his stage of his career he isn't going to improve his skills but he may well 'fit' at the Bulls and do an decent job for the money we're paying him.

I might have worded the first sentence very slightly differently, but I think you will find a general consensus with that post on this board.

Glad it has cheered you up, cos it hasn't cheered me up dramatically...
Except my point, since maybe you left that behind on that last bend, was about fans damning the guy before he pulls on a jersey, not about whether any of us should be ecstatic about the signing given what sort of signing we would all want to see if there were no limitations. Was it not?

I'm not damning him, but history seems to.
I'm more p155ed off that a "big" club like the Bulls can no longer attract any decent signings.

I guess that comes down to what people mean by "decent", given that the likes of e.g. Peacock (D), Withers, Hape, Henderson... well were they seen as "decent" signings at the time? And "any"? Not one of our signings last year or two has been "decent"?
But, to widen it out to being pîssed off about us not now seeming to be able to retain a squad relative to other clubs which looked a match for every one of theirs, then yes indeed. And get in the line...there are loads of us already in front of you!

And if Hall plays every game he's beaten Glenn's record for the year. Reardon for Semi isn't a great swap but needs must. And i'd rather you get your boots on and play hooker than bother with Newton anymore Ewen'"
as a 30 year Wakefield fan and a two year sharks fan..
I can confirm Kearney is a better player the Ben Jeffries ... at full back
BJ is a far better half back/ stand off than Kearney
if you play Brett at half or 5/8 you will be devastatingly dissapionted...

Well dug out.
As for the rest of this thread... well, some people need to get a bit of a grip on themselves.

| Fact the two Manly lads we have sighned are very good honest players.
Fact Kearney if we can keep him fit will promise to be one of the most exiting players we have sighned in a while.
Fact both reardon and sculthorpe both deserve a chance without been lambasted from the word go. If anything Sculthorpe can make the side more dynamic as his offload game is one of the best and his kicking game for a forward is very good.
Fact the retainment of James Donaldson is the best sighning so far. He will go on and become a very good player.
If we as supporters get behind the club rather than being negative Odsal will be better off for it.

Indeed. I don't know how Kearney will get on at stand off but if someone had asked me this time last year what sort of 6 Sykes was it probably wouldn't have been a glowing recommendation! As it turned out, he had some of his best games in a Bulls shirt there.

29955.jpg If I'd have wanted glory I would have followed Man Utd.
Football is a game where men spend 90 minutes pretending to be in pain and Rugby League is a game where men spend 80 minutes pretending not to be in pain.

| I can honestly say that of the signings anounced so far, and I do hope for a couple more, Danny Sculthorpe is not a player who fills me full of expectation for next season. However as a rotational prop he might well do a decent job for us and untill we see how he fits in with the rest of the squad and the way we play next season as a unit I am willing to wait and see.
