| In the first half we were hanging onto their shirt tails and, to be honest, we were a bit lucky to go in ahead at half time. It was only really the interception try that got us in front.
After break it was hard to tell how much of it was us really kicking on, and how much it was Wakefield falling off their game plan. Probably a bit of both.
That said, there were a number of real positives tonight. Hargreaves looked like he had the appetite for it tonight, which he doesn't always show. Jeffries obviously exerted a lot of control through a really pinpoint accurate kicking game, and there was good effort from Kear, Lulia, Whitehead and others
But the real standout for me tonight was Bateman, who I felt really 'came of age' this evening. For the first time, he really looked like he belonged on a SL pitch, as distinct from just being a young kid with potential. He's a class act, for sure. What he needs now is a good run of games, hopefully without any injury, to really kick on and cement a place in the team.

| Thought we dominated for the last hour, surprised really as I thought we would lose pre game. Strongish performance, outstanding efforts from BJ, Diskin, Hargreaves and Bateman. Very good games from numerous others too. Well done Bulls.

Kearney was quality at the back. Whitehead was quality in attack and defence. Jeffries kicking was lethal.
But the person who impressed me a lot was Bateman. Always kept going broke the line a few times but when Smith started he was in their sorting it out
Yeah bateman was awsome tonight, good future for him at the bulls

Too right.
I hope we can keep him. You can see a star of the future in the making there. Did he look out of place? Did he bollox. Quite the opposite.
Got to admit, Jeffries dominated that second half. Please please more of the same next week. We'll need every scrap of good fortune then.

| I arrived at Belle Vue thinking I must be mad wasting my hard earned cash when it was on Sky. But credit to the lads, they stuck to the gameplan and came award with a good win away from home.
Not had chance to watch it on Sky yet but really pleased with the result against an improved Wakefield side. I thought BJ directed us superbly, as I suggested earlier in the week that he could. Whether he can do it consistently through Gales absence remains to be seen but he was excellent tonight. He offers a kicking game than neither BK or Sammut can provide.
Bateman looks such a small player but must have unbelievable strength for his size. Looking forward to seeing the replay with a nice mug of coffee and a bacon butty in the morning! COYB!
