| Gives us another body in the halves which isn't a bad thing, especially considering the injuries we've had this season!

| Should never have been let go in the first place as he was the best half of the MacNamara era by a mile. The times he went missing was behind a well beaten pack playing beside either Deacon (never fit) or Harris (walking pace). Brilliant he isn't but he's better than anything we've got at 6 or 7 and I include Kearney.

| A few years ago I thought he was one of the best HBs in SL but acknowledge he under performaned last time. Very much like Pryce on that hw takes personal blame when he doesn't shine while others are excused as it was the forwards fault for not laying a platform or having other invisible mystical powers known only to the enlightened.

| This won't change anything, he'll still be running our useless attacking plays, passing to marked men who will either get smashed or drop the ball. Our coaching staff have no idea what a dummy runner is...

| Even though he is a good player on his day, I am not bothered to see him go. His defence is sub-standard, and he often goes missing in games. Most half backs go missing in some games, but Jeffries seems to hide more than he does play. He gave 100% to Wakefield so fair play to him for that, however, I'm not too concerned by this.

| Oh dear the lunatics really are running the asylum
This says a number of things about our club and probably resets us to our default position between the 70's to early 90's of plucky mid table triers with the odd over achievement!
What says more immediately is that Herbert won't be here next year (no bad thing), Briggs isn't rated, nor is Southernwood (Saints and others have lads his age tearing teams apart), we just cannot compete financially with at least 8 other clubs (we already knew that, thanks to Adeybull), and we better get used to these kinds of signings!
Glad it's only sport, otherwise I could get really quite down about the whole thing

| whichever half position he and Herbert play it should help other players (Kearney, Ainscough, etc) to have two dedicated halves so a sensible signing in the circumstances to improve the teams overall performance, even if he does not get player of the year awards. And it gives Briggs a bit more time to get it together as a squad player with Southernwood rather than 1st team member. whatever they say its a big ask to fit into the team and running it by the KR game as thats a four pointer, but I hope so.

| What's going on with Briggs then?
Featherstone asked if they could take him on a dual registration and the club said no. So why let him rot in the under 20's and sign a Wakefield cast off?
BTW have you seen who is playing in the halves at Wakefield keeping this lad out? I'll give you a clue - we let him go there as part of the deal that brought Southernwood to Bradford.
Says it all!

Ok so keys now flush our crappy Herbert, keep Briggs as he was great at Cardiff. If he can get back into shape and build his confidence then it's onwards and upwards. Can all the fans chip in to buy herberta airline ticket and send him home!!!!

I'm not worried too much about Cain. He's still only 19, while Kieren is 21 so you would expect him to be further developed as a player.
I'm still confident that by the time he is 21, Cain will have bulked up a little and learnt how to tackle. Once that happens we'll have quite a handy scrum half I reckon.

which means that Jeffries is a good signing as we are bottom end of the table at the moment.
