It would be a bit of an anti-climax if it was announcing that season tickets would be honored, considering the implication that they will be! Mick Gledhill mentioned it was to do with season tickets and matchday prices, which I wouldn't consider huge news. The only thing I can think of is that season ticket prices might come down considerably, in which case there would be loads of people already bought their season tickets wanting a refund, and then a cloud of worry in the support base over whether lowering season ticket prices would be financially prudent given the mess we're in. Hopefully, today will clear the air!

Looking on twitter the shop seems to be selling a lot of stock really cheap, is it because its the Oldco's stock and new stuff will have a different design etc?

Probably - we'd have got new stuff at some point anyway even if admin hadn't happened. Would be hard for the new club to survive on the old stock of merchandise considering it was being flogged for next to nowt already in November/December.

EDIT - Unless we by different design, we are getting a new logo/name...?

I don't think the name is changing. Not sure if there's been an announcement about it or not but that domain registration above certainly says trading as Bradford Bulls.

I hope the shop sale is not the huge announcement

Liked that city logo on Northern style kit it looked classier..(if classier is a word?)

Perhaps more a "brand refresh" then - all the tat including mugs, pens etc seems to be prices slashed which often happens in business when they are going to update everything. Or maybe they just want some dosh coming in the club. I'd be a little sad if they changed the badge to be honest.

If it turns out to not be "HUGE" I hope the fans collectively but gently ask the new owners to cut out the spin. We are all a bit jaded.

Luckily we have a number of groups on facebook who speak for all the fans in a measured, articulate, and united fashion, so that message will no doubt hit home and be acted upon.

If there's the financial cushion provided by the owners to cover any shortfall, I don't see an issue with a season of cheap season tickets especially given the club have missed 3 months of sales time.

However, it wouldn't be prudent to go for such a course if there isn't that backing as we saw previously with the super cheap tickets that didn't have the corresponding footfall within the stadium.

Personally, if there is the money there, how I'd handle it is as a way to engender good will from the fan base to the club and it's new owners by saying "those 1k people who stood up and gave their money to the club only to see the fall out of the last few months should be recognised as true supporters of this club. As such, not only will their season ticket purchases be honoured, they will each receive a full and complete refund for the cost of said tickets." Then push for the reduced price tickets for anyone who wants to buy now.

The trouble is, going by today's cash only sale in the club shop, it would seem that the club hasn't yet been able to set up banking/card payment facilities yet. I believe Omar had similar issues when he took over. This is something that the club obviously needs to get sorted ASAP as few people will be willing to part with cash for a big purchase such as a season ticket

If they want a season ticket payment from me, they'll have to sort out card payment facilities. I don't have the funds at the moment to pay for a season ticket if it's anything near a normal price and will have to be paying for it on the credit card until at least next pay day.

If I can't pay by card, I can't by a season ticket.

I would drop the prices down to about £170 per ticket for adults.
To keep the people who paid happy I would offer them a £50 voucher for each ticket previously bought for the shop as a thank you for accepting a drop in prices after they paid. This would cost the club half that so about £25k - but if they got another 1000 paying £170 that brings in another £170k.
This would be best of both worlds.

A few of us were discussing how skint we will be this year but money can still come in and build up quickly.

I am clearly not an accountant but is it totally unreasonable to think we can still generate between £1.2m - £1.5m income.

They said the costs ran at about £2.5m but massive savings have since been made.

We will probably be short but that depends on us supporters generosity and how good our new commercial manager is at his/her job.

We need to get through this year financially and finish as high as possible so that next year we get substantially more central funding, higher gates and build sponsorship again. Hitting £2m next year could be achievable if all goes well.
