| Quote: hazzard "Does that mean Arundel can play as well against wire in quarter's'"
Just had a look at cup rules. Section b4:10 seems pretty clear that once a player has featured in cup for a club they can't then play for another club in cup that season. So arundel and kaufusi won't be eligible for cup going forwards. Sure that's changed and previous appearances cancelled out at quarter/semi final stage.

| The rule about being 'cup-tied' has been in the game, pretty much unchanged, as long as we've had the Challenge Cup so I'd be gobsmacked to find they'd changed it and it had gone totally unreported. I've heard nothing about changes anywhere, to be honest.

The rule states that if a player from a non member club (amateur team) like Siddal, St Pats plays in the cup for that team. He can then play for a member club. Which means if they are signed by a pro or semi pro team. The player would still be cup tied for playing for another ameatur team. Its this rule which was changed for the start of the 2010 cup.

| I assume this mean we're now allowed to sign overseas players? Not many overseas players go on loan so I don't know if loan agreements are different.
Six months ago I had Kaufusi in my picks so on the face of it I'm happy with this, but I'm worried after reading the London and Huddersfield fans thoughts.

| He's still employed by Huddersfield so his original visa will still cover him. Think it was dual registrations that were a problem for overseas players as opposed to loans.

| I thought the overseas thing had been sorted a bit back when, or shortly after, Green was given the OK to take over? Though I agree with Mat that he's employed by Huddersfield anyway, strictly speaking.

| Special measures was sorted at time green took over. Club has to have a license to apply for visas issued by border agency. License can't be transferred to new company and had to be re-applied for. This is what club is waiting for before it can sign overseas players on permanent deals. Was mentioned in t&a article a week or two back that they were still waiting for license to be issued. Would imagine it's probably come though by now though.

You'd think so. I mean, why on earth would the RFL be dragging their feet over something like that? Hamstringing a club in a relegation year?

No, we've signed a bit of a beast of a forward.
Hopefully, he can maintain this sort of performance and Hudds let us keep him

Would be surprised!
Given what's at stake this year, I would have though Wakey would prefer him rotting in the reserves than putting in a decent shift for us!

| Kafusi looked good today. A bit of mongrel up front. Just what we needed.

Depends if they can afford to pay him to do that , there crowds not been great and have brought a lot of players in and must have a higher wage bill than us and would exspect they upto or close to salary cap
