I think thats the main point right there - why kill the club off today when your main creditor isn't back in the office until Tuesday and there's a good chance you'll have good news instead of bad for them then ?

I'm off abroad on holiday tomorrow, (be nice to have a break from this soap opera tbf as well as work!) personally speaking I couldn't give a stuff about exact timings, the result on the next available working day and where the next 500k is comig from is all that matters now.

First point - seems pretty clear cut to me.

As it is they have had to let people who have had trouble sleeping because of this promised announcement down. They have had to backtrack on promises made. Whatever their intentions, the outcome has once more been to toy with the emotions of people who love the club.

This has been an exercise in building faith and trust in people who, to any casual observer, do not even slightly deserve it. They are their own worst enemies. We will never know how many people outside the echo chamber of a forum like this who were in two minds to pledge but ultimately decided they just could not trust the people asking for faith to be placed in them.

Incidents like this are the Chinese water torture that led to that trust being a permanent cripple.

Hindsight is wonderful mate. Maybe they had had full confidence when they set the timetable that the support would be forthcoming?

As I said, this sort of thing happens all the time with company takeovers. What the hell is the problem extending by two days?

Will HMRC not just asked for money on Tuesday and if so will they give you additional time to convert the pledges into real money.

Right decision but once again dreadful PR. this could have been worded and handled so much better. Then we would not be arguing amongst ourselves.

FFS will whoever is in the chair in two weeks time sort the bloody PR out! The crap PR has done more than anything else to risk snatching failure from the jaws of success. The club should be grateful that those of us that are desperate to see success have not allowed the crap PR to distract us.

We undeserving supporters haven't been told that there is actually any big payment due on Tuesday, or any other date for that matter. Just that they need 500k by Thursday 5pm, sorry kick-off, sorry half-time, sorry today at 1130, sorry Monday at 5, no sorry Monday at midnight.

No difference whatsoever between 5pm Thurs and Tues morning. Banks businesses and tax offices all closed.

Salaries have to be paid next week so do some of the tax liabilities.

Which is what should have been made clear to everyone as soon as they realised that the problems were about to arise, not drip fed out through certain people once time had been taken to prepare mailshots and a website.

On the very first morning that this came public someone on here (I think) pointed out that yesterday was a meaningless deadline in terms of any creditors that may have been becoming due with it being the BH weekend.

Anyway what's done has been done, but if the current regime want trust and respect moving forward they really need to sort themselves out.

Quite. The morons in charge of the club have completely lost me now. I honoured the pledge made last year in purchasing a season ticket which I knew I'd hardly use because I wanted to help the club out and help it to succeed. I made the effort to turn up last night for a fixture I've not attended in years and have little interest in. No more - I'm out.

The deadline to pledge was always 5pm yesterday and the announcement was going to be this morning at 09.00 which was moved back yesterday by two hours. It's now been moved to Monday.

After a few hours to calm down I think you're probably right, and if I came on a bit strong then I apologise to all concerned.

I am still sat in the hospital waiting room waiting for the final prognosis on a family member though.

The thing that riles me abit is the emotional side of last night.

I saw a couple of people visibly upset that it could have been the end, but the club have moved the goalposts again.

Probably a good decision, but they've handled it disgustingly.

Thing is, we would not all get so wound up if we did not all care so much. I hate injustice with a passion. Others hate feeling they have been lied to. Others hate it when they feel they have been taken for granted. What we ALL hate is the thought of no more Bulls. The thought of that can send more than a few of us into orbit for a bit, myself included.

I cant understand why people are getting so upset. We're nearly at 500k which we planned/hoped to be by Friday, but not quite there so the club have given an extra few days in the hope that we can muster up the remaining funds.

My worry is what happens next, are the club going to be relying on fans for the next 500k or is there some other ways of raising the funds?

If it hadn't been an Easter weekend no doubt the Club would have announced the Pledge as originally stated, but as been pointed Banks and Goverment are closed till Tues, earliest HRMC would want their monies around the 15th. Why people are carping on is silly just chill out there will still be a Club next week,and getting extra money to go over the 500K makes sense. Whatever the p r on this its done, last minute hindsight not involed just a reaction to the situation by the Club, and the usual overreaction by some Fans

The puzzling thing is though, whether banks are open or not, they could have, by now been collecting the pledge money had they closed the pledge and all card payments would be credited to the bank account regardless of whether the branch on Market St is open or not.

Extending the deadline means they won't now begin collecting the pledge money until Tuesday morning at the earliest. If it is indeed needed for salaries next weekend, then it's pushing it a bit.

So, was the cash actually needed quite that desparately or not? it's about time someone from that administrative shower started telling the truth!
