That's exactly how I read it. Kind of a "don't blame the young lads for any mistakes they made, the more experienced players should be doing far more than they are". I thought he was spot on to be honest, with the exception of one or two of the senior players, who clearly are putting in loads of effort.

Completely agree. Whilst maybe he shouldn't play the full 80 he could benefit from coming in for spells for the experience and he'll hopefully be a better player for it next season.

Yep I read it like that from St H. He's right. Some senior players are not pulling their weight and some havent done for 2 seasons now. Drop em.

Fair enough. I've found his post match comments rather odd in past tbh. He is only a stand in mind so it probably don't really matter what he says. He's just got to prove he's a good number 2 to Potter.

I don't care how big they are, with the right technique they come down. What you can't do however is prevent the offload.

I recall Halley once tackling Paleaaesina one on one after Paleaaesina made a break. So it cannot be purely down to size as to why Halley regularly misses tackles in one on one situations. I've also seen Rob Burrow make many a tackle one on one on much bigger players.

I don't think you can say that tackling ability is simply down to technique. It is a very big part of it but strength also plays a pretty big part in it.

You might not, but being big and strong and being able to stand up to opponents attack or defence is part of the game. If your not strong enough to do it, you cant stand up to them, simples. Why do you think there is so much emphasis on strength and conditioning?

Exactly, technique is very important, being strong is equally important.
