I know but the draw of Bradford would bring the Featherstone supporters out in force meaning a gate of 2,000 would then give them around £30k if they we're to charge £13/£14 to get in.

| Having read the whole of this thread, the £150,000 mentioned was surely the amount that Cas paid Fev for Steadman back in the day. Someone has been sidetracked.

Er, no Mick.
2,000 @ 13 - VAT = £21.7k
Less additional stewarding and other variable costs, plus any incremental food/drink income accruing to the club not to third parties.
Wasn't exactly the world's biggest gate when we played them in the CC at their place a few years ago.

19829_1320257469.gif Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19829.gif |

| A cracking player. We've got a good one there, he was absolutely outstanding for Featherstone last year and there's no reason to think he won't make the grade in Super League.
Mr Potter to be congratulated for sorting out our halves. We're suddenly looking much stronger.

See here for the "quarter of a million package" they refer to for the Hardaker and Briggs transfers..

They claim that Hardaker went for £100,000 so that must make Briggs a 150k player
that's one fev fan that's said that - one fev fan that's way off the mark. i would estimate around 75k for briggs

Good skill set no real pace. Not quick enough for sl in my opinion that's why he was never gonna make it at Leeds.

Apart from hardacker can run backwards quicker than Briggs can run forwards.

Are you having a giraffe? The lad's quickness is one of his strong points.

Sorry pal that's simply not true. Seen him play at Leeds enough to know you are wrong. He has good qualities genuine pace isn't one of them.

That was what was reported. I had it on VERY good authority at the time that it was less than that.
