Before SL, Wednesday night games used to be quite common & well attended. Not that many of you used to attend pre-SL

Yes, it's not like there aren't people who work on Friday nights, or weekends, is it?

Listen, no kick-off time will ever suit everybody, self included, but really you should look at the bigger picture. The season ticket point is with respect just silly. How many games is any one club going to face on a Monday night? 1? 2? I don't know of that many people who work weekday nights, who (with varying amounts of notice, could not either take a few hours off, or else re-arrange their shift if they wanted to go.

And yes there will always be some who can't do anything about it but as I say that is so for ANY kickoff time, and no disrespect but I think to advance a conspiracy theory that Sky delayed any announcement about Mondays to prevent a loss of the odd season ticket sale is frankly nuts.

Everything these days is a joke & a disgrace. The OTT nature of responses to everything annoys me as much as the recent trend to park on pavements. I largely blame (for the former) 24 hour news channels & tabloids who sensationalise anything to get viewers.

There's a huge TV market for sports on Monday nights and it's being handed to us on a plate. In many countries and leagues it's the biggest game in terms of TV audience wherever it's done. I think it's great, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out for RL.

The big issue for me with weekday evening games is being able to get to away games because getting away from work can be a pain sometimes, even with advance notice. Once upon a time it was a really exciting thing to see RL played under lights. It still is to be honest, night games still add to the atmosphere for me but now that it seems like every away game that constitutes a big game is played on Friday nights whether it's a TV game or not and getting there became less essential. I doubt I'm going to make much effort that way on Mondays either.

So we play Cas on Monday June 4th and Saints on Friday June 8th.

Genius. I'm sure the club are overjoyed at another fixture pile up like Easter.

Hopefully Saints will be good enough to switch the date of the Friday game otherwise we'll be walking wounded going into the toughest away game of the season, but why should they?
