I think Whitehead took the dummy, the only mistake I remember him making. If the winger was Ah Van my granny is faster off the mark, & she's been dead 30 years. A quality HB should be just about the fastest player on the pitch over 10m. Alex Murphy was unbelievable. Brough is another.

Burrow went completely clear, there was no winger within cooee. Not even Usain Bolt would have made up 20 metres on Burrow, who is very nippy over 40-50 and bloody fast off the mark too. Which I believe is due to him having practically zero mass to accelerate.

So if he was big, he should be able to out run players easily?

Except, that it's not [ijust [/ito do with stride length. People with what are known as 'fast twitch' muscles would make [imore[/i strides in a given amount of time, which would even out, or as in Burrow's case, even surpass someone with the advantage of a longer stride length.

In a race to the pie shop having a closing down sale, Burrows will have no chance against them two.
