Agree because if Ainscough hadn't been pulled back then IMO he would have got to the loose ball in the in-goal area and would have scored.

Even my friend (who is a qualified referee) who was doing the summarising at the game today said it was ten in the bin.

Professional foul pulling our man back...was looking straight at it. Penalty try, or at least ten in the bin if a score was not certain. Sorry...we are not Leeds, silly me...different rules apply.

IMHO it was not a penalty try but it was definately 10 in the bin. On the whole "Leeds" thing too, I did not think that was a penalty try either. The only way it may have been given today was if the camera's were there and you were able to have a look at it.

I thought the holding down was worth a sin bin too. very cynical.

Depends how you look at it. Is every "holding down" penalty a professional foul? You rarely (if ever) get sin binning for holding down in the oppositions half. I know he had made a break but there was still around 65 metres to go after that and the defence was getting back.

That was the best game I have seen Sykes play in a long time (I was in Dublin for the Cas game), not doing his usual mis-haps! It will have been the T&A faithful txtin in on Radio Leeds!

A good performance considering the team re shuffle (again!). Thought some of the young boys showed up really well too, which is very promising for the future.

The mistakes (and the mistake then pen conceded combinations) are still killing us though. Hopefully more practice and improved weather and grounds may help this.

we need to be able to put penalty decisions behind us. repeat offences have been very common this season. seems like the lads are letting it annoy them and they're getting caught out again.
