Much of what comes from the club isn't just for the fans' consumption, it's also part of not showing your hand to the opposition, or the sort of 'mind games' all coaches play.

It wouldn't matter if we played 7 Lee Gaskells at the back, if our pack minces out like the sugar plum fairy tribute team again then we will get 50 put past us again. Sure Gaskell was injured and it didn't help, but he was injured on our own line, where the game was being played. No halfback can do feck all behind a pack that is meekly surrendering.

The Bulls deliberately put out misinformation all the time these days, so you can't believe pretty much anything you read, and we as a forum seemingly no longer have any real insider contacts, so it's all just a guess, he could be fit already and raring to go, or he could be crocked for the season, or anything in between, we don't know.

I'd only play him against Widnes if he's 100%. No point rushing him back and aggravating his injury again.

We proved against Salford that we don't need to rely on him in order to get the win, though a player of his quality will give us a much bigger chance of turning Widnes over.
