| They're not learning. Either the message is wrong, they're not listening or they're not motivated to change. All 3 of those are coaching issues. On paper, as Pumpety says, they should be better than this.
Scurr isn't at his pre-injury level of impact yet, needs gametime, he gets a pass. The rest of the pack were relatively anonymous. But it's a whole team issue. I don't think the direction from the halves or hooker was great. The errors from the backs must have been so dispiriting for the team as a whole. But as we don't have many backs, we can't drop people for poor performance. Especially as Armitage limped off to the treatment room as well.
Hurrell could do a job vs Hunslet, possibly against Oldham but he can't play against York. That's the level he is currently at. Which is sad.
And why has no-one worked out how to play Holmes & Hooley in the same team? Everyone could see it coming and I hoped it would have been talked through in advance.
This season has stalled. Not done yet, but needs a kickstart.
