Attack not clicking? We have the second best points for in the league. Its our defence that is tanking us
Yep, it's all down to defence. If we can show the desperation to defend our goal line that we have done intermittently this season and keep Barrow to only a few scores, we have enough to outscore them. Ruck speed is key. And keeping the ball in play. And not giving away errors or penalties which both kills our momentum and allows the opposition a breather.

| Out wide worries me. Barrow can play with freedom and ping the ball out to Ritson and expose Okunbor again. Really need to play to put strengths. Kicking game crucial, make sure we need it well by putting a high kick for Okunbor & Armitage to attack against Ritson and Shaw etc

| Personally I thought our attack against Batley was woeful. That Batley side were game but ripe for a 60 point mauling. We were nowhere near the attacking threat we should be right now and that worries me.

| Ott had one of his worst halves of rugby for us. If the hooker has an off day a lot of the attack becomes clunky.

It wasn't his finest but he's been out injured and then barely played so it is going to take some time for him to find his way.

Oh yeah, he improved in the second half and the attack improved with him. His best game for us was the reverse fixture earlier in the season at Batley where he could do nothing wrong. As Souter is out, we have an opportunity for him to get a run of games, also Hallas will be less available to cover hooker as he will need to be LF as Donaldson is injured.

| Well, they announced Donno's 4th ACL rupture yesterday, from the Doncaster game. 4, that's almost unheard of. Poor guy, another 9month layoff. The club will support him, I'm sure. Although he must have some serious mental resilience to go through this a 4th time!

| And now Gill and Lui announced 2week loans to Batley, to gain match fitness...
Must be keeping Hurrell then

| Don't get it. Hurrell hasn't shown enough for me to keep him. Feel he'll get exposed on a wider pitch.
Then sending Gill & and Liu to Batley for 1 week (Batley have a bye next week) I maybe get Liu to get fitness but Gills missed 2 weeks!

| Well you could throw defence frailties at both Hurrell and Gill to be fair. Neither look solid defensively recently but perhaps Hurrell is a more typical Noble player. I thought he looked better going forward v Batley but is still clearly lacking fitness.
We've needed another winger in the squad before another centre, but I guess you can only bring I players who are available at the time. Surely when everyone is fit, our first choice centres will be Armitage and Blake?

| Yeah really bad news for Donno.
Will our left side defence get its act together this week? It'd be where they target us. Need our forwards ro land on their fronts in this game as the slow ptb really kills us. Would be looking at getting Mason back in the 17 for a bit more impact.
