Agree with this. Expected commitment from the players that he didn't have himself.
Danny Ward would be great, but didn't he turn down a full time role at Cas, so not sure we'd be that attractive a proposition. |

Wonder whether having Nobe as 'consultant' will impact on who applies - I guess perhaps an experienced head coach might want more control.
Last two coaching appointments haven't lasted long so hopefully it is 3rd time lucky!!

Think it's more complex than who we appoint shows the ambition of the board. I think they've shown plenty of ambition with the squad we're putting together.
I'll be honest I thought EOC was an exceptionally underwhelming appointment. But I liked what he did with the club and felt we were building.
For me an appointment that would get the fans excited would be an Ian Watson or Danny Ward.
A solid appointment would be a Rhys Lovegrove, Danny Mcguire (think that could work well with a Noble partnership)
Would be disappointed with a Simon Grix, Andrew Henderson etc
Might end up none of those names as was the case of EOC

Yep, we just need a coach who can keep us competitive, get the best part-time players that are available and keep the fans, sponsors and board happy.
Promotion now is in the hands of the Directors of the club or when IMG go to 14 teams. |
