| Men against boys from start to finish.
After a few weeks of below par performances against Widnes and Barrow it was good to see the Bulls get back to winning ways in emphatic fashion. We secured a comprehensive win against a Whitehaven side that’s been having a tough time both on and off the field. Our forward pack was nothing short of dominant and set the perfect platform for our backs to shine. Pele, Appo and Doro were devastating against a tired Whitehaven defence. Their hard work up front created all the space we needed to run our plays and put points on the board. I'm adamant that we play so much better when Lawrence is on the field as well. His return is very much welcome!
Sammut looked good and created some good opportunities and took his try well. Taufua and Okunbor were like a pair of extra forwards and helped gain us some decent yards coming away from our own line. Towards the end I felt we overplayed slightly in an attempt to chase the 60 point margin but overall we played well as a team. I was also very happy that we managed to keep them scoreless, a first for us this season! If my stats are right, that is the first time we've nilled a team at home in 5 seasons (Bulls 62 -Widnes 0, June 2019).
MOTM: Doro
Let’s keep this momentum going against Featherstone!

| There will be tougher tests to come, starting next week but pleasing to see the team nil Whitehaven.
Main blot on the performance was a another yellow for Pele. My reaction seeing it live was he was committed and the tackle was legal so will hopefully not pick up a ban. Shame because he was a real handful for Haven and had hos best game. Thought both wingers got through a ton of work and really got us on the front foot.
Hope Haven are successful with their fund raising, it felt a bit bitter sweet at times today knowing what the club are going through.

| Thought we played some good stuff yesterday and it could've been a lot more than 58pts. The returning players all made a difference. Appo was a deserved man of the match but I thought that Ott and Taufua were also particularly impressive. Bayliss had a great first spell and Makin too. Whitehaven simply couldn't hold us down the middle. At 34-0 at half time they looked well beaten. 2nd half they really stood up and made more of a game of it. We had a 15min spell where we gave away a succession of penalties and couldn't get the ball but the defence was up to the job. Other than their fullback Whitehaven didn't offer much in attack.

| Job done. Felt for Whitehaven, but we were professional and did the job. Very pleased to have kept them to nil. Sammut is having an effect, his cut out ball allowed Lilley to have space to tjenput Lehman through the gap who then unselfishly gave it to Taufua to score.
Massive step up next week. Fev have improved and looked defensively sound at the minute. We certainly won't just walk through the middle like we did today.

| I thought Bayliss had a very good game, by far his best yet.

| Hope Doro is fit. He looked very eager to make up for lost time and possibly over did it a bit. That run from 30m out where he nearly scored was incredible. He adds so much energy. Gonna be a huge miss for next year.

| After seeing the replay, I cannot see the Pele tackle being anything but a yellow card sufficient.
