You have to ban someone for persistent, continued violence: who first of all knees the head of a player on the ground, then hits him twice to the head when he is held by two players. You can see Elliot is trying to get away, he wants nothing to do with it. Its a basic duty of care to the players to punish such action as a deterrence. its not a quick pop/handbags at 100 yards job. But it is the RFL, and the Bulls are to blame for everything, so expect Elliot to get a five year ban and we play with 12 players for that period.

Also in the Disciplinary news, Dane Chisholm has copped a 3 match ban for the lift he was sin binned for in a friendly. Makes Robinson look almost sensible. Not that it'll make much difference for Fev, I expect they'll bring in Callum McLelland or Richie Myler on Dual Reg to cover it.

I genuinely don't think he can complain. It will be somehow our fault or Cullings fault for headbutting Robinson's fist according to some. But at the end of the day he's become rattled playing against some 18 year old and decided to throw a couple of haymakerds with 10 mins left of a meaningless friendly. Only person to blame is Robinson himself IMO

That said I expect York now to be super fired up and wallop us by 50 now!

That might, or might not, be the case, though our games V York have been feisty enough without that incident. As for the incident itself, I'd guess that pro players would recognise when someone is being a total prawn, even if it's someone on their own side. I'd guess that most York players would have felt a bit let down by that kind of stupidity, in a friendly, to be honest.
