I think some of the comments by our fans at times are quite baffling. One guy coming out of Batley was roundly slating ullugia and shaw as not good enough. Personally I have been impressed with both when they have played this year. Shaw is not a natural centre, but has slotted in wherever required, very similar to how Mick Withers did for many years. His kicking is an obvious bonus. Ullugia has taken his tries well which is the role of a good winger, as already alluded to alongside Baile or Purtell or Blythe he could be a very useful addition.
The only two players in the squad who have not shown much at this point for me are sjieka and Henry. Henry's attitude and general play are very poor,at batley he seemed to perform much like hape did just before his move to union, e.g disinterested. Jury still out on Sjieka but with players coming back I would suggest he needs to show something fairly quickly.

Unsure what we know about Henry's attitude?

We don't know Henry's attitude, but I think it's fair to say when you see him on the pitch, he certainly doesn't look like he's in it for the 110%. He looks like he's out there because he knows everyone else is injured and he'll be out of the side again when people are fit.

I honestly get the feeling from team selections that Jimmy doesn't rate him (friendlies especially). And from what I've seen from him, I wouldn't disagree. But you never know if that's the case, or if it's just a fitness/injury issue and we're all reading more into it than we need to.

What I can say for certain is that Ulugia going into touch when he did was not his fault. It was Adam Henry's.

As far as Ulugia goes, I thought he looked fairly poor in the friendlies and against Leigh. But in the Fev game, he did very well to come back after an early blunder, and I thought he did the best he could with a god awful centre who did nothing to help him at Batley. Showing a lot of improvement for mine.

Ulugia seemed to run it in strongly on Sunday, or was I just closer to action?

I thought he did too. He's a handful but also has a bit of skill. I'd rate him ahead of Uaisele at the moment.

Why do they both begin with "U" though? Is it a tax thing?
