Cummins has said in today's T&A that he plans to use Addy at stand off while Gaskell is out.

Well he actually says he COULD not that he will. I read it as a clear message that we won't rush out to sign dross because we can cover Gaskell's absence internally.

True. He made it sound like Addy would be his preferred option at SO though. He's never seemed keen on using Kear at full back in the past, usually preferring Foster for some reason, so I can't see that happening.

The problem gets worse out wide when Blythe is back in a few weeks as I like him at centre. Henry has played SO so couldn't he go there and Blythe take the centre spot. Franny might have a small squad but he has done well to have players who can confidently play in various roles.
I am puzzled at someone wanting to leave Diskin on the bench at the moment. He seems to be a different player right now. Against cas they said on sky he made 30+ tackles and missed none. He was excellent at Wakey. Use him as much as possible while he is playing like this - but obviously rest him within each game.

Diskin's obviously out to impress his new sponsors.

He does look rather good so far this year.

Perhaps so. It was unusual that the captain remained unsponsored until we came in for him just a few weeks before the season started

Matt Disk in is a first class leader. There is none at the club that could lead the team as he does. We need him on the park as much as possible this season

I just hope we do play some of the young blokes this year even if it is just to keep em keen.
