| Quote paulwalker71="paulwalker71"No surprise to me. Whether its Mumtaz or Akbhar they are going to need some 'rugby people' to actually run the club. They are only interested in the Coral Stand and the possibilities there - none of them know anything about how to run a SL operation. That's where the previous lot come in.....'"
Oh good because if there's one thing the previous lot (and previous previous lot) have shown is that they really know how to run a rugby operation. That's a real relief...

neither did AG at Wakefield but hes made a very good fist of it compared to people who believe they can run a SL club, good business men will sort out the Bulls.

| A fresh pair of eyes might be the very thing thats needed. These people are astute business people. They will need someone with RL experience, but they won't just let somebody continue on in the same old Kamikaze ways of the past.

| At the moment we dont need rugby people, we need business people! Let's secure the club first, then build it as a business!

They won't feel out of place there then.

| The worry is that Asian businesses tend to operate on a low overhead high profit system of trading and the higher cost of most business is labour and they make sure thats as cheap as it can be. So Sport with high overheads inc labour and little profit is not going to cope well with the Asian business ethos.

| Do you not think that's due to the market those businesses traditionally operate in rather than the ancestry of their owners?

| one thing they will do is look at revenue and make sure expenditure is less than that, if that means spending well under the salary cap the next coach will have recruit players of value and promote the youngsters from the academy

| perhaps the off field operation can subsidise the on field? Just like CC planned when we came back to ODsal and built the coral stand.

| Why is it that no-one seems to have the appetite to do the decent thing and reform as a new club in CC1 with more input from the supporters rather than stay in SL at any cost?

| I guess most clubs aspire to be in SL. If we can stay in SL without going into liquidation then we will be doing the decent thing. If liquidation happens then I reckon staying in SL is unlikely anyway.
