This has been rumoured for weeks if it is Sykes to Wakefield and the player is leaving on loan so it really doesn't help the short term cash flow. I can't see it being part of any fire sale as it's pretty pointless if it is.

It's just the timing of any message it sends out - even if that message isn't right.

Just normal mid-season business I'd guess. We were desparate for a kicker (thankfully Isaac John has now unpacked his kicking boots!), and still need a back-up kicker - good deal for you, us and the player I think.

Good luck with your current difficulties - having been there recently I know what you're going through. I hope the solution you find is as good for your club (and RL) as Andrew Glover has been for us.
