I arrived at Belle Vue thinking I must be mad wasting my hard earned cash when it was on Sky. But credit to the lads, they stuck to the gameplan and came award with a good win away from home.

Not had chance to watch it on Sky yet but really pleased with the result against an improved Wakefield side. I thought BJ directed us superbly, as I suggested earlier in the week that he could. Whether he can do it consistently through Gales absence remains to be seen but he was excellent tonight. He offers a kicking game than neither BK or Sammut can provide.

Bateman looks such a small player but must have unbelievable strength for his size. Looking forward to seeing the replay with a nice mug of coffee and a bacon butty in the morning! COYB!

Ya reckon, I think he looks a fair size. He's like a little Bull(pun intended). He's 6,2 and 15 half stone.

I thought that until I stood next to him at Harlequins last year. He's a decent size and he certainly looked strong enough for SL tonight!

Thought Tim Smith should have been off aswell. Looked an awful tackle to me.

6ft2? Hmm well it wouldn't be the first time that a couple of inches were added to a players stats! I had him around the 6ft mark perhaps. But there you go, I've never measured him!

Anyway the point remains, he seems to have a fair bit of strength for a player of his age.

Was very happy impressed with the second half performance, in recent years we would've lost this game. As has been said Bateman, Whitehead, Jefferies were brilliant. Good performances from Kearney, Hargreaves and Heath too.

Still need to do a lot of work on defence especially around the rook, it is very poor and easy for other teams to make easy yards.

It was interesting to hear MP's interview after the game, he really didn't seen all that impressed, especially with jeffries. I found it quite reassuring that he expected better from the team.
