| Quote Liane="Liane"Tickets should be open to all season ticket holders end of. Bringing use of season ticket / away games discriminates against those who cannot go because of work or who pay on the day for away matches. This isn't like football where you get allocations for all matches for away teams and you buy through your club. Only way it could be done is those who committed to the 5 / 10 / 15 and 25 year season tickets get first call but I would still say that is unfair on those who don't have money readily available to make that commitment at the last minute.'"
Unfortunately, it going to be down to pot luck! I appreciate this isn't football and people do have other commitments so therefore no able to attend certain games. I'm just saying reward those folk that turn up week in week out with first dibs. It isn't going to be many more than 300! Folks commiting to the long term ST were on an invite only basis which again would add complexity to it!
Last years tickets were made available with immediate effect - think they went on sale around lunch time one day, same again i would imagine!

You can't prove who did and didn't go. Would be unfair for those who pay for away games on the gate etc. Best thing to do would be to say our season ticket amount is rare, but that no stadium smaller than 10,000 can hold a challenge cup game where season ticket numbers of both clubs outweighs availability etc. I didn't get an invite, but I still signed up!

Didn't realise that you could sign up for the offer without an invite!!
Would be nice for a ruling like that - but it wouldn't be fair on a club like Fax (and the others that are affected) to move their biggest pay day in years away from The Shay! As for proof the ticket office have prepurchase ticket history, those that paid on the gate wouldn't be able to count it.
We'll just wait and see what the club do! Hopefully Fax will get the capacity up to 10k and we can have 3k in tickets which should be enough to cover the fans that want to go!

| You have to also bear in mind that not all Halifax fans will want to go as:
a) its on tv and
b) season ticket holders will have to pay.
So some will definately give it a miss.

Challenge cup is split 50/50 surely more fans in the ground = more money. Could easily agree that profit on bar and vans are also split 50/50.

I dont think Fax make any money from Bars or Food outlets if i remember correctly. Bradford should get more tickets than Fax. Thats just common sense, i reckon we could probably sell 3K and any more than that would be great but i feel unrealistic. Better to pass the tickets on to the Bulls and lets have a big crowd for TV.

Well if Halifax don't make any money from bars and food, and all the Bulls fans are given tickets, then the only money that Fax are making is on the tickets they sell to their own fans. So I doubt they'll be too quick to hand over the tickets to the Bulls!
The one thing that doesn't seem to have been mentioned is looking at switching the game to Odsal. If the Bulls gave all the money for tickets sold through Halifax to the Halifax club then they could sell, say, 3000 at £15, that would be £45K clear profit for Fax with zero outlay. Then all of the Bulls fans who want to come could be accommodated, lets say 9,000 of the season ticket holders prefer to watch live than on TV, I know I would - that gives a crowd of 12000 which would create a great atmosphere for TV.
Worth a consideration I wonder?

The problem is i cant honestly see us selling more than 3K tickets and thats just been realistic and as for switching, that would never happen as its the clubs chance to show the RFL that The Shay can be a good venue for SL. The club will also be looking at it as a possibiliy of a shock result, it shouldnt happen but you just never know.
