If theyve already signed him and announced squad numbers without giving him one surely that suggests he's going to be playing in academy, at least initially? |

I wouldnt class Briggs as as solid signing either. Just a kid with some potential that is probably to good for the Championship Leagues. Either way, he seems to have been highly sought after and thought of so it it turns out to be Kyle that is the 'solid' signing then very well. We've now got a extra pair of hands in the halves and who knows what he could become under a quality coach that will give him a chance.

That's how I'd read it yeah. He was only signed on a part-time deal anyway, so it's not surprising that he wouldn't be in the first team squad. |
