Just got back from the Saints game.
Someone really should explain 'irony' to the Saints' fan who answered our ironic cries of 'easy' when we got our first try with a 'look at the score board you're losing!'. Great stuff!
Hard not to feel exasperated at the result and 12 in a row, however - we wanted a performance rather than a win after half-time. We could blame some baffling ref decisions, but dropping the ball on the first and second tackle will usually do for you against a half-decent side.
Also have to say that the decent number of travelling Bulls' fans were a credit and far louder than a deathly-silent atmosphereless Knowsley Road, for a top four club they have to be disappointed with the turnout.
Potter has got a job on. But I was assured by a SH fan than he will put the Burgi in and shake things up. He has the ruthless streak needed.
We weren't at the races today, but Menzies was playing his guts out right to the final minute.
Bye bye play-offs.
Welcome a new era with Harry!
