Just got back from the Saints game. icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Someone really should explain 'irony' to the Saints' fan who answered our ironic cries of 'easy' when we got our first try with a 'look at the score board you're losing!'. Great stuff! d040.gif

Hard not to feel exasperated at the result and 12 in a row, however - we wanted a performance rather than a win after half-time. We could blame some baffling ref decisions, but dropping the ball on the first and second tackle will usually do for you against a half-decent side.

Also have to say that the decent number of travelling Bulls' fans were a credit and far louder than a deathly-silent atmosphereless Knowsley Road, for a top four club they have to be disappointed with the turnout.

Potter has got a job on. But I was assured by a SH fan than he will put the Burgi in and shake things up. He has the ruthless streak needed.

We weren't at the races today, but Menzies was playing his guts out right to the final minute.

Bye bye play-offs. eusa_boohoo.gif
Welcome a new era with Harry! eusa_clap.gif

Really? A 9,000+ gate has always been a decent turnout in my book, especially for a game against a team sitting in 11th place. The atmosphere was poor, but so was the match. The game was never going to be an entertaining spectacle, more like going through the motions, and the atmosphere was a reflection of that.

All credit to the Bulls fans who turned up, I hope they enjoyed their day as much as they possibly could.

I stand on the pop side towards the away end and I only heard the Bradford fans make any noise on precisely the same kind of occasions that Saints fans made a noise - when either they thought something was on or their team had scored. What I admired about the Bulls turnout was that it was there at all. With such a poor display from their team and the possibility of a 12th defeat, I thought the Bulls fans were great just for making the wet and miserable trip over the Pennines to give the team their support.

The turnout was fairly normal for Saints at Knowsley Road. I'm quite sure you'll see more fans at the new stadium because many have been put off by the conditions.

As for the atmosphere ... these days it seems the only time we have atmosphere at KR is when Wigan, Wire or Leeds turn up. What you experienced last night is what it is like for every other match, whether Saints win or lose. No-one seems to be able to explain it but it just keeps on being like that. Our away support is much livelier.

Got to credit your fans for their singing and sense of humour. "Easy, easy" and "We can see you sneaking out" after your second try.

I am sure Potter will get to work with the younger players and in 2-3 years time you will be back. A lot of Saints fans have given him stick but I think he has done a good job in re-assembling a team that was ageing and creeking.

Stick with it.
