Not just ponds though. Snipe are best found on moorland, especially on early spring mornings during the breeding season when males can be heard giving their 'drumming' or 'bleating' display.

Or was it our tactics? We rarely looked like breaking down their defence to be honest. Did we do our homework on Saints? Goulding's kicks seemed to come as a bit of a shock to us, sort of unexpected like, though I don't know why, I mean half the crowd could have said "watch Goulding when he shapes to kick......... ", in fact I think we did, but we [istill[/i fell for it every time.
Saints looked the most lively side, and, to me, gave the impression of wanting it more. They were certainly the more aware team, probably more awake as well. I'm still sure we could have overcome all our little inconsequential failings, if only we'd not worn that damned yellow shirt!!
