| you can judge our ambitions by the fact we are signing players that the big 4 are not interested in but the likes of Barrow, Salford and Wales are interested in!
Now if we have our 2 new Britis on the cheap and the same wage as some of our juniors prospects thats is acceptable .. however i doubt this is the case.
Again we will have a average squad .. however if we sneak into 8th spot it will infact mean we are progressing as a club ... heaven help us all!

We had a better squad last year and made it into 9th. I'd say that in 2010 if we managed anything above 9th we're over achieving. Given that Hull have strengthened they'll rise above us next season. Looking at other squads I'd say we only really look much better than Salford, Quins or Celtic.

| He did a good job as the 5th/6th prop at the Giants. he got fitter and was a good squad member.
Macca must rate him as you outbid a few clubs to get him. He has not taken much, if any, of a pay cut to join you.
If he is the big signing to replace Burgess that is a kick in the guts for a lot of loyal Bulls fans.

But to be fair, Macca rates Rikki Sheriffe and Michael Worrincy.

Says it all, really. And I'm one who is prepared to give him, or anyone, a chance now he's here but let's face it, as many have said, at the age of 30 we've all seen all his career what he can do, and the sad fact is that he isn't going to be any better than he has been the last decade.
It's also a poor signing as it's a bucket of ice water over the heads of the fans who have been waiting patiently for the signing of someone, anyone, [iencouraging[/i. Maybe we really, truly cannot afford to set our sights any higher than the likes of Sculthorpe. In fact that's probably it. If so, I would prefer us to have kept the money and played a young lad or two.

You're forgetting our youthful British coach who will skilfully bring out the best in this motley collection as he is at last allowed to build his own squad and move away from the appalling Noble era... oh sorry, that was the narrative a couple of years back. Still at least he's had a clear out and significantly improved the squad, oops there I go again. However, I don't doubt we can all appreciate the carefully crafted media strategy of letting this out of the bag just before the early bird deadline, which will have the punters queuing up to renew, oops. Anyway at least we have got some 'characters' to bring the families back and create a feelgood factor, what with Reardon and Sculthorpe and maybe even Walker as well, just a shame we didn't get Bird...
I'm just glad it's not down to poor management, a lack of understanding of the fan base, no vision and poor leadership at the top. I will be renewing my season ticket on the basis that our accounts are sound and there's no financial crises, because this evidently true and forms part of the exhilaration I feel every time our team takes to the field.

| Well i'll stand by my opinion that i think he's a good player (when fit) i seem to be the only one on here and if he turns out otherwise i'll put my hand up and say i was wrong..

| He can be a very good player on his day but being 30, injury prone and for whatever reason can't seem to settle at any one club there are a lot of risks that come with him.

| I wish this was announced before I shelled out for a season ticket. Majorly disappointed with this signing, how long before he spits his dummy out with us ?
Desperate times call for desperate measures?

Yes, he broke the clubs/players rules and got fined/dropped, instead of taking it on the chin like another player did he SULKED.
