Been impressed since he came back hope his injury woes are finally behind him! Question is where will he play when barba is available?

he is playing well, not sure what is going to happen when Barba is clear to play.

1. Barba
6. Fages
7. Smith
9. Roby
13. Wilkin

14. Lomax

That should be the spine when fit and on form.

He shouldn't play in the 13. He can't play any other position and Barba is better. Provided Barba lives up to his billing, we don't need to be shoehorning players into roles. If they want a fullback on the bench they can, but I wouldn't want to be moving Barba every five minutes.

Although it's ridiculous to criticise players after last nights performance, I don't think he had a great game. His tackle on Hitchcox was sensational, but he was very rusty with the ball in hand.

Quality line ball for the Roby try & overall Lomax was good with the ball imo. Lomax off the bench covers the whole back line and possibly even at hooker. You don't leave quality like that out of a 17. Holbrook has been sensational since he arrived so I'm sure this particularly conundrum has been debated and given his track record to date we back his decision all the way.

I agree. He's got to go utility sub because there's someone better in each of the other positions he can play. But that doesn't mean he's unvalued. It's a 17 man game, and being able to introduce a fresh body of Lonax's ability into any of those key positions is a great weapon in the armoury.

I personally expect him to slot into one of the half back slots. Most likely Fage. With Fage going to the bench and rotating at hooker.

I actually expect that barring injury the halves will end up being Lomax and Smith with Barba at fullback.

Why would we do that? Fages is improving week on week and now looks a very dangerous player. It's not coincidence that Percival is getting so much better ball now Fages is supplying him.

Fages is playing well. However Lomax for me is a better player.

Theo sees himself as a 6 and that's where he wants to play but lomax is fullback. Why move Theo who has possibly been our best player this year and most good things in attack comes off him.

I'm a massive lomax fan. I've virtually backed him all way from a kid, through his injury problems and imo the best ball playing fullb ack England have but a fully fit and switched on barba is a diffrent class to any fullback In super league and I don't like playing players out of position just to accommodate players. So for I think lomax goes to bench.

Barba in at full back and Lomax as a bench utility player for me. Hopefully Barba will perform and get his act together after what he has been through, but if he doesn't work out I can see Lomax back at Full back and Barba of back to Oz now his ban has been served.

Can't see that happening. Saints have been paying his wages from when he signed on. He's under contract and unless someone pays for that contract he's still our player.

That's what I mean mate they will sell him to a team in Oz if he not work out and Lomax back in at full back, hope not though and he turns up and puts in the displays he has shown in the past in Oz.
