Holbrook says it was a missed opportunity at Cas.

Totally agree, but Mr Campbell didn't help either. How many times this season do we keep coming up against 'dodgy' ref decisions. Cas first try should not have stood, from were we were in the stand the Cas player was in touch and the penalty for Cas should not have stood. If you have video refs at one game they should be at all games not just the Sky matches.

Boo hoo! Just because it looked in touch from where you were doesn't mean it shouldn't have stood - should be better than having to rely on VR decisions!

Yeah we should not be relying on video refs but to many decisions this season have gone against us, yeah I know its its swings and round abouts we all get our fair share but ours have changed matches we should have won.

At one point a Cas player tackled Tommy around his head! last time I sar a move like that was Big Daddy on ITV wrestling on a Satday afternoon getting Giant Haystacks in a head lock?! and some idiot near me said it was a tackle round his shoulder?! icon_surprised.gifops: what games do some people and refs actually see?! so gutted at mo......COYS!

Seems you're so touchy about the rules you'd agree Saints should have been penalised a hell of a lot more than they were for laying on for 10 seconds most tackles and Cas should have had an 8 point try for Tom Holmes having his head ripped off, right? Or the blatant obstruction for Saints first try?

Campbell is useless, he didn't single out Saints he was just useless all round.

I'm sure your view in the stands was much better than the touchjudge's view from the touchline

I still don't understand why the RFL insist on having officials on the pitch. It's proven time and time again that decisions are much clearer when you're stood in the stands - they should position the officials there instead.

Most fans only reflect on decisions they disagree with.
LMS throwing player back after tackle, Junior Moors having ball ripped in act of scoring, play on. Tom Holmes having head taken off in act of scoring, Percival spoken to but no penalty.
See what I mean.
Redvee tv moaning about penalty count, which was 9-8 to Saints!

I've actually paused the footage where the ball is grounded.....a good 3-4 foot away from the touchline.
Linesman crouched with clear view of hand on ball.
Would post the screen shot but don't know how to

I've normally found saints fans to be amongst the best and most knowledgable in the game but having read some of the comments mainly on the redvee site it shows them in a very different light, maybe it's because saints of all the teams is a side Cas have never really threatened and now the tide is turning some fans appear to have blamed anything from people smoking to the threat of the stands falling down on yesterdays defeat.

Chris Campbell was poor again for both teams but rather than the focus been on the ref ask yourselves why did your team struggle to breakdown a very weakened Cas side? You had enough good ball to win 3 games never mind 1 yet time and time again you were foiled by some gutsy defence and poor execution.

Official frame by frame footage shows Holmes 2 metres offside from the kick, ref missed it despite being 4 metres away from Holmes.

The first try for Cas was nothing to do with touch, he was clearly not in touch. It was the knock on on the other side of the posts leading up to it. One of the most blatant you'll ever see. Moors went to offload and the ball fell from his hand towards the Saints line, half the players stopped and it was picked up by Cas and the ref ignored it completely. There were also a couple of ridiculous decisions your way that led to about four repeat sets. He was getting so much abuse from the Saints fans by that point that I'm convinced he was doing it purely out of spite.

I think we'd have won the game had it been on Sky or refereed by one of the less incompetent officials, but Saints were terrible anyway. I don't really care about results this season, it's all about Holbrook getting the chance to weed out the weak links (Swift, Smith, Wilkin, Lomax, Taia, LMS) and hopefully recruit a couple more players that will improve the side.

Normally find Saints fans knowlagable about the game but it seems if they are not challenging for titles they can soon change their tune and blame others/Refs.
The amount of times Saints were offside/Not square/laying on was unbelievable and went completely unpunished (but I'm guessing that's ok as it's in your favour)
To pick up on just things that you think the ref didn't do for you speaks volumes.
Do Refs miss things !!!!
Of course they do but they don't just miss things for Saints
If you go on any fan site you will see EVERY club thinks the refs are against them.
Derek Beaumont was slating the refs last week but you didn't hear any moaning from him last season when they were smashing everyone.
Come on Saints fans stick to the rugby and stop blaming everyone but the team or do you only support your club if your winning things ?
