| Very poor? Have they lost every game since Traynor got involved with the first team?
Just a bad run or a young squad? Or just not very good?

| Last year Saints had a U19's squad heavily loaded with 3rd year players, so most have them aren't eligible for this year. Just to put tonights result into context, last week Wigan beat Wakefield comfortably with a team that only had two 3rd year players in it and seven first years (U17's)
I'm guessing Saints had a lot of 1st year players in their team tonight.

Wakefield had 5 3rd year players tonight, 5 second year and 7 first year so good performance from Wakey

| Only 2 first years started. Both on wing.
Skill level is shocking. Coaching needs looking at if you ask me.
No game plan and one out rugby. But like watching the first team

| Recruitment not good enough. Wigan are throwing big money at Yorkshire lads and we need to do the same I'm afraid.

| Went watching thatto Heath u18 v Blackbrook yesterday.
Great game with excellent skill level. Hopefully tommy Martyn and
Scully who were watching the game will have reported
Back to the powers that be that there is local talent out there.
Blackbrook just edged it 22 v 20.

36 - 18 to Wigan after a horror first 20 minutes saw Wigan 22 - 0 up.
It was easily Wakefield's worst performance of the season so I'm not sure just how much context you can derive.
Wakefield starting pack at Wigan also had 3 first years and 2 second years so not stacked with maturity.
