Gone to Melbourne, is that good or bad?

Knew this few month back. It's not good

The lad looked very useful when I have watched him.

I've never seen him play but he looks amazing on youtube highlights. The reports from the people who go to the academy and reserve games are conflicting but all seem to gravitate to him being raw and lacking consistency. He'll get the basics sorted at Melbourne without any doubt, the coaching is vastly superior over there.

Another player like Savelio who we have been unable to transition from academy to first team.

Comparing him to Savelio is probably the dumbest comparison i have ever seen.

I think he's comparing the situation rather than the player to be fair

People do realise Levy only started playing rugby league 2 years ago. He dident speak a word of english this time 14 months ago.

Yet somone compares his situation to a bloke who grew up 10 mile away playing rugby from u6 upwards. Absolute joke

What is? Instead of flying off the handle, why not read what I put? I don't care when Levy started playing, he was clearly good enough to be signed by both us and Melbourne. That indicates the kid has potential and we as a club have failed to turn that into a first team player. Similar to Savelio in that he's a player with great potential physically who we haven't managed to get near exploiting the potential of.

What is there to be fuming about?

The difference is that Levys circumstances are not like any local lad are they. He as no family to rely on over here. Which means he has to pay fir his own car, own meals, own accomodation etc... at 18 years of age on a minimum wage contract. Melbournes second tier salary cap is alot higher than what we can afford on potential.

He is a young lad trying to make his way in the world don't knock him for having a go

Exactly , career’s are short and I don’t see an issue with a player backing themselves. If it doesn’t work out then that’s life.
