| looking at his two outings at full back i think he would make a better no 7 when Walsh goes fleet of foot pacy everything that goes with a no 7 aka Longy. For me he is to lightweight for a no 1.He seems to be able to be there when needed but of course he might not stay either.Do we have any no7s coming thro the ranks?.What is his prefered position?

We've only got him until the end of the season, I assume his weakness will be tackling one and one near the line, he's not been exposed to that just yet.

His kick returns look weak Imo. He doesn't look like can beat a man to save his life. He's took some brilliant catches tho off the high kicks and supports well.

| I like Quinlan. He's a better looking version of Rob Burrow. What's not to love?

His kick returns are slow and soft. He Doesnt try to get us on the front foot. That first carry can make or break the set. If he wins the PTB and puts us in front foot we roll on if he just goes in soft and slow they get set.
Swifty is excellent at that first carry.

He's also only been in the country less than 2 weeks and doesn't understand fully all our attack and defensive structures.
But hey, don't let facts stand in your way of trying to find a new scapegoat now Mose is playing well.

Why don't you read my posts?
I said exactly what you just posted. The fact he doesn't know the players or our plays will be tkugh for him but hey, don't let facts stand in the way of what I wrote.
I've praised his catching of the high balls, ive said he's the best support player in super league and ive said he's doing well but my only negative is his kick returns. Id say that's pretty high praise right?
Also, can you please explain how only being in the country two weeks effects kick returns? I look forward to your reply on that question .

NOW he's playing well you wrote. So you admit he's not been playing well?

| So Quinlan scored an hat-trick on debut in a game we won by 1 point and played a key role in the winning try in a game we won by 6?
Can we worry abut the downside when it happens please?
Unless we assume the usual Forum response of "there must be a kid in the reserves who is better"!

This is spot on.
Now I don't support Saints, but this st pete bloke and his 'I know everyone at the club so my opinion is more valid' posts are quite nauseating.

| He's definitely a fullback rather than a halfback. Very solid with high balls, brave and a great support player. We've seen nothing in the way of a kicking game or him being good at organising players in attack so I have no idea why we would move him to halfback. I'd like to see him doing a bit more ballplaying on the edges out the back of second man plays, but that'll take time to come with him getting used to our structure.
His kick returns are a bit lacking, but I think that's more indicative of his physical attributes than anything else, so isn't likely to change too much. I'd be quite happy to see him hand the ball off to Dawson/Swift on kick returns when possible. Swift's strength is his kick returns while it's one of Quinlan's weaker areas, so we should play to those strengths/weaknesses
