Just got back from the game Saints absolutely dominated Wigan from start to finish. Saints won 34 - 22 after 2 late consolation try from the pies. Scoreline really did flatter Wigan.

Best for Saints was whole forward pack and the full back Kevin Brown (who is Englands u16 full back aswell) lightning fast.

I couldn't get to the game last night because of family commitments so can't comment on it although it may be shown on Wigan t.v soon.

I know Wigan asked if the game could be moved to another date because of the England v France games as they didn't want their players playing two games in four days and/or three games in seven days. For whatever reason that postponement didn't happen.

There's a good video interview with Steve McCormack where he says that he was going to play a lot of the U15's in the game and it would be a good test/experience for them.

And you should know by now my opinion on the combined U15/U16 sides, I've been against it since it's inception.

How come Wigan had an extra player? Do they cheat in the academy system as well?

Some of lads in the Saints pack are monsters for their age, I was very surprised when Leeds managed to handle them relatively comfortably at the start of the season.

Is it really? Never heard it before. Jorge isn't typically Lancastrian as well though surely? Or is that just a creative spelling of 'George' as we do go through phases of people looking for far out spellings?

It's relatively unusual as a surname, but the highest concentrations are in Lancs, now and historically; as for Jorge, yeh, I think you're right, unless it's creatively phonetic. Interesting, though, if it is, because George isn't a name you generally see written with a J by English speakers, even in the past: Gorge is a regular rendering, but not Jorge, at least in the north.
