The law states that if a foot or any part of the body is in contact or over the touch line and the ball is played it is deemed to be in touch. Now a wigin supporter is trying to convince me that taking the ball on the full with a foot over the dead ball line is not the same rule if it is over the touch line. He reckons that if a defending player takes a ball on the full from a kick from an attacking player with his foot over the touch line the scrum will go to the attacking side. I say it will be ball back head and feed to the team who caught the ball.

He's wrong. I think that was the rule a few years ago where the defending player was deemed to have taken the ball out if he was stood in touch. I remember having a heated discussion with Saints Fan over an incident in a Hull v Saints game where the referee called it wrongly and Saints scored from the resulting scrum.

Agreed. But the OP was re: catching the ball on the full with your Foot in Touch. The same can be said for catching the ball with one foot dead in goal from the kick-off is seen as the ball going out on the full, or has that rule changed too?!!!

No. If he jumps from inside the field of play and over the touchline with the ball and then puts his foot/feet out it's head and feed to the kicking side.
