| Are we bothered? Looked to have a promising future but hasn't really lived up to expectations. Good luck at Salford

| Not massively, he's fallen behind Thompson, Richards and Savelio, and on similar standing as Hand and Walker who seems like the forgotten man as well. Something was always gonna give, given there are a few more pushing through from the 19s as well by the sounds of it (Aiterton I think? I'm sure there are more in the know on the matter than me!)
Unfortunate timing given he was just announced as young player of the year, but best of luck to the lad...

| Like Andrew Dixon he has never really been given a chance at Saints. Letting players go who have just been voted best player in a league seems very strange.

Can't really compare a player who played 50+ games for us against a player whose played less than 10...
Would Thompson/ Richards/ Savelio gotten nominated had we allowed them on dual reg?

| Problem is you can only blood so many youngsters at once and Thompson and Richards look much better bets.
Forster is best going to Salford playing every week and if he develops into a quality player we can always offer him a contract in the future.

| We can't possibly keep every young player. Club obv feel that Thompson and Richards are better prospects. Only time will tell I suppose.
Thompson is the stand out still for me.

| Years ago we would have had him in the 'A' Team for a few years.
Nowadays you can't keep them all.
I reckon he deserves a shot at Super League and as Saints prefer the other youngsters in the squad he needs to move to pastures new.
Good Luck to him.

The problem is the gap between SL and the Championship is too big. The Championship is tough physically which is why we dual reg players there as they dont that in the junior teams but the pace difference is immense. I hope he proves to be a big success though

The same Dixon that scored a try in a Grand Final? I rate Dixon and wanted him to stay but it's not fair to say he wasn't given a chance, more he just wasn't rated highly enough by the coaching staff.
Forster, never seen him and would have expected to by now if he was rated highly enough.

The club can't keep all youth players and the comes a time when the club needs to evaluate which players are better than others and if the player is happy to be a bit part player.
Unfortunately for Dixon, the club knew we had "better" players coming thru and made the call. Dixon never let us down.
Forster is way down the pecking order
