| I have been to see Saints before but it was at Knowsley Road and will be at the game this coming Friday.
Can anybody recommend a pub with a decent atmosphere before the game that is close by?
Also are there any pubs with Sky Sports close by after that will be showing the Wire-Widnes game?
Any help appreciated.

| The is new pub about 5 min walk from langtree called the Glass horse. It does good food off menu and also a carvery.
It's kids friendly as it has play areas, xboxs, arcade games and even TVs at your table on selected tables.

| The Red Lion in Sutton. 15 minutes walk away from the ground.
And you're sure to get a nice friendly 'welcome' off the Beth Ave crew that sup in there.

| There is a cafe bar at the ground with Sky Sports? Then 5 minute walk into Town Centre and you'll have your pic on pubs all showing major sporting events.
Ask for the George pub on George St as thats mainly rugby fans as the landlord is a massive Saints Fan

| The Market on Bridge street should be good. Plenty of TVs dotted around the place, and ridiculously reasonably priced beer.

Any idea what time the cafe bar is opening?

| Back local people not the chains mate.
Choice of Alfred, Swan, Rendezvous and the one that has been a Saints pub long before the lure of Langtree money lit up the eyes of others The George.
The big chains make their coin all week round and nationwide, help the locals.

| At least there's a guarantee The George is open. Might be a bit hit and miss before the game.
I like to go there once the rush has died down. I find it difficult to get served before and immediately after the game. One things for certain is you're bound to get talking rugby league in there to someone.
