To be honest, I think a Thursday night sky match can only be good for the sport.

For the casual viewer, you're probably right. While I will always make time for a Saints game (and often for a neutral game) on a Friday night, a lot of people will have other things going on. |

Twitter is a good guide to a certain populous, I think in terms of live TV, it has a good link up. But not sure how much Live sport was on TV last night, so the Thursday night may leave the market wide open for SL.
Whilst not perfect for the fan, for the casual (stereotypical fella who likes to watch sport) Thursday night is pretty lean pickings. The TV viewer figures will give us a better idea though.
I am of course generalising, but you have to generalise to find any trends.

Great news. When i was on Twitter during the 2013 GF, twitter was also busy with lots of RL top trends and i think there was a footy match on at the same time possibly international too.
