Over the years i have detested some of our rivals Warrington, Wigan and even Bradford when we was gunning for SL. However with Leeds i have nothing but respect for them (must be due to all our GF losses). Theyre a great club and after hearing there comments they have tons of respect for Saints as a club (people dont talk too kindly about the likes of Wigan and Warrington). Brian Mcdermott could'nt speak highly enough of how were run as a club.

Hopefully next year we will give them one back and i believe with Walsh we actually will.

Would like Huddersfield win it for something new but if not then good luck to the Rhinos!

Never disliked Saints and you were certainly our best friends when beating the Bulls in all those finals in the early days of SL!

As for people not talking kindly about Warrington, if you recorded your latest defeat against Warrington on Sky watch the interview with your "super" coach NB prior to the game. Then read all the after game reports and what he says about us. This is for starters without trying to add additional info to
evidence your bitterness.

Zeus isnt bitter he's just saying it the way he feels as do alot of us. We dont like Warrington and we dont like Wigan personally though for different reason. I didnt like warrington when you couldnt win a goldfish at a fair mainly because of all the trouble your fans used to cause, I despised going to wilderspool as a kid because it was one the few grounds I felt actually uncomfortable at. I dont like Wigan because as was pointed out their arrogance and habit of breaking/bending rules (mainly during the Lindsay era (s)), saying that I have never felt threatened at a Wigan game and have always loved the rivarly.

Leeds I have nothing but respect for, great team , great fans (always like a trip to headingley) and I wish them the best of luck this season.

St's are a great club, don't really rate N Brown, but Rush & Cunningham are your life blood. Think you should be v proud of your team.

A well run club from top to bottom, youth policy first class, and fans are not arrogant, unlike some other teams (you know the ones!)

Also think the same about Hudd's.

I've no problem with Leeds as a RL Club, best run from all the Yarkshire lot.

I think this mutual respect shown is born out of Leeds not really see you as a threat anymore. They don't speak highly of Wigan or Wire but does that not strike you as more then a coincidence? They're the only two teams that stop them winning everything.

You'll be back challenging next year IMO and you won't be seeing threads like this anymore. I'd be chuffed if I were you and that's the case.

I don't believe many Leeds fans have any issues with Warrington, two cup final defeats notwithstanding.

It's been a bad couple of days for you! Did you know that Saints and Wigan have something in common? Both sets of players have a dislike for Leeds whilst they both get on very well with each other!

I know it flies in the face of the myth most people on cherry and Sh**e like to peddle that other teams and fans dislike Wigan because their jealous but in fact they dislike you because of the arrogance of your fans and club in general. Wigan were still the most hated club when you were crap hence the mods over on your board used to get bored of oppo fans really enjoying rubbing it in.

There was and maybe still is some niggle between the 2 sets of players but I've got plenty respect for Leeds as a club and have no issue with their fans
