Went off after 50 minutes according to League Express report.

I don't think he was injured and he seemed to have had a decent first game back. He got a 7 for his part in the game when most of the others got 6.

One more and the kids done. On his 8th life already now.

Some people just arnt made for contact sports.

What is wrong with some of you...? Wheeler has had bad luck with injuries over the past few years but comments such as "waste of time, get rid of him..." hardly help the poor lad with his confidence. He's strong and quick and we should be encouraging him, not trying to destroy him. Unfortunately, so many of the comments on here are negative and I frequently ask myself why I bother to visit the site. "Saddened" in particular should come out from under his bridge and jump in the bl**dy river.

This is modern professional sport with a salary cap. Wheeler unfortunately can't get fit but is taking a salary regardless.

I feel sorry for him. Genuinely.

However, you can be as strong and fit as you like in the gym, or on the training field. But if you can't carry those attributes out onto a playing field, then you're no more use to the squad than a weak, slow armchair player like myself.

Life isn't fair, and Wheeler has been unlucky. But we can't afford, as a club, to carry on paying for his bad luck through the gap he fills on the salary cap. If he's injured again, then he really needs to find an alternative career, and maybe play his rugby at an amateur level where his body can take the impacts.

I lasted longer than most, keeping faith that one day he'll get past his injury problems, but even I've given up over the last year.

Half of it was the fear that if we released him, he'd end up a star for someone else.

To be honest, I think I'd rather see that now than continue along the path of repetetive dissapointment that we have right now.

Give him to Wakey, I say. See if they can do anything with him. If they don't, we're right. If they do, well, we can take a little solice in the fact that one of our youngsters finally managed to get it together.

There are stories about the Bath medical team being amazed at how badly Eastmond's injuries had been looked after. I do sometime wonder whether that part of our set up is not up to scratch?

And if the reports of him geting injured are bollox?

Then we'll continue to hope this time is the injury free run he needs. Fingers crossed.
