| rlInteresting interview with Foster in the Bradford pressrl. He is keen to stay with the Bulls beyond this season.
It's particularly interesting to note what he says about the fans and about the team spirit. Quite revealing, all in all.
I hope he continues to do well there. He is certainly looking like his old self again. Francis Cummings obviously believes in him.

| With a kicking game like Fosters he was always going to be in demand at one club or another. Although I can't argue about letting him go. He lost his confidence at Saints from mistakes he made in the game.
If he is doing better underless of a spotlight in Bradford good for him, but I would not swap him for Lomax at FB.
I would also put Meli and Makinson ahead of him, so he would only get back into a Saints side for me if Meli retired and we did not get someone else in of good enough quality to replace him.

Player bigs up club he's after a new contract from shocker. You really are gullible if you read anything at all into that article. There welcome to Foster he isnt as good as what we have at the club now. I wish him all the luck with his future career whether that be Rugby or hairdressing
At some point it will dawn on you that we cant just keep every player who makes it through the system and has a couple of good games.

| Foster would be 6th choice winger at Saints so it was in everyone's best interests that he left. Even from today, the pace shown by Percival and Swift showed them up to be more dangerous than Foster. Added to Meli, Makinson and Gardner and there was never room for him. Good luck to him at Bradford though.

Well, he had no need to mention Saints or Hull by name but obviously he wants another contract. However, Cummins is already offering him one so it's not like he has to impress anyone. However, it was the comment about the fans that I found more interesting.
As for being behind Gardner and Meli, that shows just how daft Saints are. Even watching the young guys out there today it is quite clear there are better options at the club than Gardner and Meli.
And Meli wouldn't have thought of that runaround that Foster played on Thursday night if you'd sat him in a room all day with 'runaround' written all over its walls.

I'm surprised the Man of Steel hasn't already been given to Foster after that. Meli will just have to console himself with being better at every other facet of wing play possible. I know the fact that Foster did a runaround makes all of this redundant of course.

Swift a better option on the wing than Gardner and Meli? What on earth gave you that impression from today?

To be fair is you insist on desperately looking for reasons as to why Foster should still be at Saints you've got to expect people to think your a bit of a loon. To the majority of us it was pretty plain to see he was 'limited'. He is a world class kick no doubt and he has decent ball handling but he was a pretty weak runner , didnt have a great deal of pace wasnt that elusive (I mean look at Percival's footwork!!) and looked iffy in defence. Now I'm not a Meli fan but that doesnt mean we should have kept Foster.
His comments on the fans are just what you'd expect and mentioning Saints and Hull is just done to endear him to their fans a bit more. Good on him if it secures his future. Look at Matty Smiths comments on joining Wigan as another example - a Saints lad who played for Saints and would still love to be at Saints I'm sure but there is no way in his first press conference or in a news article that he would say anything other than how amazing the Goons are.
P.S. Run arounds are pretty easy to do so nothing much to fuss about

| I was a bit gutted when he left, he was one of my favourite players and I just didn't think he had a fair crack of the whip. Oh, how we could have used his kicking at times this season! Looking at our wingers now though, you can see why he was let go as he wasn't going to be selected much. Hope he does well at Bradford or wherever else he ends up though!

In a nutshell. It's a salary capped sport and he would have been a pointless retention IMO. We have plenty of other, better options in the backs.

| Shame on you all for biting. No one in their right minds would consider it a mistake letting Foster go. Clear fishing expedition.
