| So for next year who would you have has your halfback pairing?
For me
Sneyd at 6 and Dobson at 7 would be a perfect for us but I doubt we will get either nevermind both of them.
Someone like Carney would be amazing but there is no chance of that. Most likely i imagine us getting Hanbury then sticking Hohaia in at 6 though.

| Just posted this on another thread, however it applies to this!
There is no doubt we are lacking at half back and a good scrum half will see us challenge for a trophy. I feel we have to be very careful. Matty Smith was not the answer at Saints and still wouldn't be, he would not be the maverick scrum half we need. Saints don't seem to have the same attacking structure as Wigan. At Wigan their attack is very robotic, but highly effective and Matty Smith fits into that structure well, he is not an off the cuff maverick scrum half that we need. Saints style is different, we have tried this attacking structure rubbbish, the best scrum halfs at Saints have not been robots ala Matty Smith, but off the cuff, play what is in front of them, natural scrum halfs, natural rl players like Goulding, Holding and Long. Smith fits in well with the structures at Wigan, we have no structure! Our tries will tend to be off the cuff efforts like Makinson's or barge overs due to weight of possession such as Meli's and Clough's on Friday. Once we identify that player, whoever it may be I have no idea we will be a strong side. Imagine a Bobby Goulding with Willie Manu, Puletua and Soliola running off him, they would have field day. That is the type of scrum half we need

| Difficult one! Danny Brough, Sammut and Rangi Chase spring to mind in terms of maverick off the cuff type, Dobson and Dureaux good but may be too structured and robotic. Hopefully Nathan has a good scouting network down under and we can unearth a hidden gem 20 year old playing reserve grade over there looking for a shot at the big time and make a name for himself!

| Id like Saints to have a punt on George Ndaira at 7.
Amazed hes never ended up in SL before.
Looked the part a few years back for Lebanon including ripping wales to bits but quite never made the NRL grade now a player coach in the halfs in the lower leagues.
Just 28 - a calculated gamble

With Salfords new money, he might want to stay there

I know, for all the ambition and the cash, he still has to persuade better players to buy into it.

Sneyd has moved to fullback and according to Salford fans is looking better there than he did in the halves. They have Foran and Fages in the halves.
Salford have three specialist halfbacks (four if you include Lee Gaskell). We have none.
