| rl19 man squad namedrl
No Shenton, Jones or Wilkin. Soliola returns.
Wheeler to centre, i suppose.
Meli to the other centre with Swift coming onto the wing? Soliola straight in at centre? Perhaps shuffle Lance about and bring in Gaskell at #6?

| Is that a picture of Swift scoring on that link? A sign perhaps...

| Quote: Billinge_Lump "13. Chris Flannery'" Flanders at centre? Probably an accurate prediction of our current safety first approach.
I'd much rather see them push Meli in one (I consider his best position centre) and give Swift a run on the wing.
Cas are really struggling at the moment. I know we lost last week, but we should go about things with at least a little confidence, shouldn't we?

| If I was picking
1. Paul Wellens, 21. Tommy Makinson, 5. Francis Meli,17. Gary Wheeler 34. Adam Swift. 6. Lance Hohaia, 7. Jonny Lomax,
8. Josh Perry, 9. James Roby, 10. Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook,14. Anthony Laffranchi, 4. Sia Soliola, 13. Chris Flannery
Subs: 11. Tony Puletua, , 16. Paul Clough, 15. Mark Flanagan,. 19 Andy Dixon,
I'd be tempted to drop Gaskell in but I would not do it with no experienced pivot at either 1, 7 or 13.
If we had an experience pivot at 13 like Leeds had with Sinfield all those years ago when Burrows and Maguire started, you can afford to blood 2 young halfbacks, but at the moment it's an either/or situation where we can have one experienced pivot but no kicking game or creative play, or inexperience with a kicking game but lack of game control.
Either way is a gamble so not one I would take. The obvious choice would be to play Lance at FB and Gaskell and Lomax at half that way you get both, but can't ever see that happening.

It's a choice I think they will make, rather than one I would make. I'd personally go with:
Lomax
Swift
Meli
Wheeler
Makinson
Gaskell
Hohaia
I know we are losing the experience of Wellens with that choice, but with no Wilkin, a combination of Hohaia/Lomax gives us no kicking game at all, rather than just an erratic and poor one. Wellens to loose perhaps?

I'd buy that, but shove Puletua up front and beef up the back row with Franki alongside Sia.
