I've read a few articles recently by various players and the coaching staff about our current performances.
Are they living on the same planet as the rest of us?
It is blatantly clear that we are really suffering in lack of direction on the field from the halfbacks, the forwards are getting beaten, the ball is not getting out wide enough, last tackle options are poor, poor kicking game, lack of intensity, no dummy runners, one out rugby, no offloads, the list goes on and on.
Mike Rush thinks Hohaia and Lomax are a good combination and that we were nearly there aginst Wigan in both games and just reading this from Lance: "In the last four or five weeks we've made some good steps in terms of our team performances" taken from www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/18086330 makes we wonder what planet these people are on.
Now I don't expect them to come out and say we are , but I do expect a bit of honesty with the paying faithful about our recent performances and areas for improvement. It doesn't exactly fill you with confidence if they do not seem to be able to see what is blatantly clear to everyone else.

| The coaches are not going to come out and publicly slate the players - likewise the players are not going to come out publicly slate the lack of tactics and coaching, so they are left with a middle ground of saying everything is good.
as long as they are being honest with each other behind the scenes.

| What annoys me is pretending that we lost to Wigan by a slender margin or small technical deficiency.
We should have got an absolute towelling because we couldn't match their physicality and aggressive mindset. The fact that we didn't is only because they were so poor on the day too.
Bring on 2013 with a few quality signings and crucially a new culture at the club brought in by a hungry young coach.

Thats my way of thinking now.
Ive enjoyed watching other teams more than saints this year. Hull/Leeds being one of the better games.
Hate to say it, even though Wigan where pants against saints, they are looking great this year, and at times entertaining.
Id rather see entertaining rugby from saints rather than winning, thats why in times gone by neutrals would enjoy watching saints more than most if not any other team.

Really?? So would you rather us get beat 40-38 every week and finish outside the playoffs, or play a basic style, finish in the top and go on to win a Grand Final?
Get real mate. Entertaining rugby is nice, but winning comes first.

my best bit of that story:
"We played them six or seven weeks ago and we did a really good job against them.....I think it's going to be a different story this time around."
so we are not planning on going to go and do a really good job this time?

| Even though it's all doom and gloom for you guys at the moment, you do realise you'll probably get to the grand final again.
I remember reading posts of a similar attitude on the Leeds board last season.
You've got good players and like usual, I'm guessing they will click this season at some point, just in time for the 'important' games.

| I meant the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised to see you make the grand final again, regardless of how you're playing at the moment.

| Do you want to borrow Rob Powell for the rest of the year? Young, hungry.

So is my three year old son but I wouldn't want him in charge either...
