Not one to be all doom and gloom and such, but just innocent ponderings...
What is our longest losing streak since, lets say, the Millward era. I can't remember us losing three on the bounce too many times.

i've been wondering the same thing.
God forbid a loss on Sunday followed by games with wire, leeds and wigan could be a 6 game streak, and i cant remember that in my time watching saints

Wire lost 5 in a row in 2005, but for us at that time loosing wasn't a problem we were quite good at it. |

No idea about that, but how about these losing streaks:
In the 1985-86 season we drew against Hull and then lost the next six matches (but won the final 13 games). In the 1978-79 season we lost seven games on the spin. |

My mate has just bought this dog its a clever little thing. When Saints lose it lies down, when they draw it sits up. I said what does it do when Saints win?
He said I dont know I've only had it a month!

Tony Smith was in his Car and waiting at Traffic Lights when Royce Simmons pulls alongside in a brand new Rolls Royce. TS winds his window down and says blimey Royce they pay you well at Saints, not at all says Royce what I did is take all the trophies in the Saints Trophy Cabinet to the Pawn Brokers and I was able to buy this Roller and a new house with the proceeds.
Well thinks Tony I'm going to do the same, so Tony raids the Wire Trophy Cabinet and takes the contents to the same Pawn broker that Royce used. When he gets there the man offers Tony just £350 for the 2 Challenge Cups and League Leaders shield. Aghast at such a low offer Tony tells the Pawn Broker how Royce Simmons brought the Trophies from Saints and he was able to buy a new house and a Roller, Ahh says the Pawn Broker 'we were able to pay Royce more because the Trophies he brought us were all Antiques'.

Was that only six games in a row? It felt like it was much longer than that lol. I can remember the winning streak because it carried over into the next season I think. Mark Elia at his peak. |
