| there could be some dought over fridays game, if the temps dont get better, the pitch is rock hard at the moment, and they are doing everything they can to thaw it, its covered and they have heaters under the covers, but that may not be enough.

| It's not the pitch that is likely to get the game called off, the RFL has already proven that they don't care about player welfare. The games at Salford and Widnes should never have been allowed to go on and the injuries suffered by players at both games are the result.
The thing that will get the game called off is the ice in and around the ground. The pathetic lack of cladding will be thoroughly exposed if it doesn't get considerably warmer by Friday. Those concourses will be incredibly dangerous if allowed to freeze, which it appears that have been so far.

| concourses are fine, and I can tell you it is every bit as cold under the south stand which is covered as it is in the other three, so lack of cladding, wont be an issue. I wish some people would get off the clubs back, if you saw how hard they are working to get things sorted you wouldnt want to volunteer to help, because instead of sitting on your backsides moaning, you would be moaning how hard it was working

| Some people arent happy unless they are moaning, its been that way all through the build and the events up to now, AND its the same few banging on about the cladding ,the crowding the stadium being two inches too far to the west , whatever!!, they should as you say cut the club some slack its not like they couldnt care less , everybody is proud of what we have and the club are the same I would imagine

A few wet floor signs and a bit of salt will be fine to cover H&S

I hope you are not referring to me there Grunt. I was nothing but a shining light of positivity throughout the build.
You are right, the stadium is a fantastic achievement for the club and we should be thankful. BUT the lack of cladding causing flooding was an entirely predictable scenario, we discussed it through the build process when we realised there would be no cladding on most of the ground. The other issues such as people changing stands which has caused problems in the Salford game were also blindingly obvious and the club was incredibly naive if they didn't forsee it happening. So while the stadium is a positive, it's problems are frustrating and the club shouldn't be impervious to criticism about them. Although a much better experience than KR, splashing around in standing water and not being able to get anything to eat or drink at the friendly meant it was nowhere near the experience it could be. The club hopefully realise this, but the mistakes they've made to date will no doubt have cost the club. Cladding estimates for the whole ground are around £1m according to people on the forums, the club has lost a potential 1,300 ticket sales and refreshments from the Salford game which could run to £25,000 and the lasting impressions people take away from the early games could well cost the club in lost fans. (Note here I'm talking about new fans who decided to try SL based on the new ground, not that existing fans would walk away over the cladding etc).

If it's as cold as they are rumouring, it might be easier to bring a sledge rather than wellies.
Park in town, slide on sledge from the top of the Disco bridge right into Langtree Park and round the 360 degree concourse until you reach the North Stand.

| saddened, dont suppose it crossed your mind that the pre season friendly was also so they can see what they need to brush up on, there is a massave difference in the catering at kr and what we have now. You will find that after a few weeks not as many will go for a drink or food, people just wanted to try it out, thats what I did and have now decided to upgrade to prawn sandwich brigade, so ill look out for you with your sledge from the warmth and comfort of the lounge.
